Biography

Joe Lorentz holds M.Sc in Applied Computer Science from from the Technical University of Kaiserslautern (TU KL), Germany in 2019, specialized in artificial intelligence and computer vision.  During his master studies, Joe worked part-time as research assistant  at the German Research center for artificial intelligence. In 2019, Joe joined DataThings S.A, a Luxembourg-based company specialized in machine learning, as Data Scientist.

Joe is pursuing a PhD since January 2020 with DataThings S.A. and the University of Luxembourg as collaborative institution.  His research interests include applied computer vision and machine learning, focusing on semi-supervised learning, model compression and explainable AI.
